This past weekend was entertaining, to say the least. Let me explain.

My wife headed up a group at her college that hosts an annual haunted house at the local YMCA for kids young and old. The theme this year was 'Haunted School Dance'. It was loads of fun! We did the haunted house on Saturday and Sunday, and scared the excrement out of the kids who came through.

My character was the Undead Photographer. I got the kids to stand in front of me, and had them stand still under the pretense of a picture opportunity. As soon as I say the phrase, "Say cheese!" a couple pairs of arms from within the plastic tarp barrier burst through and scare them, and then a corpse falls from the ceiling right in front of them. It was fun.

I got to bring my camera, an Olympus OM-G, to take the mock pictures. It went well, other than the moment I dropped the battery cartridge to the Auto Winder on the ground and cracked part of the cover off. Luckily, the winder still works, so I'm not going to charge the Y for the $100+ dollars I spent on the item. I'm always looking to add to my camera supplies/accessories, so if you have any for the OM series Olympus cameras, drop me an email and tell me how much you're willing to sell it for. I'll be glad to consider it. Plus, I just bought another OM-G (that needs repairs) for my wife so she can learn to do photography as well. I'm pretty sure all that's wrong with the thing is that it has either a broken shutter button or the winder on it is locked somehow, so it won't advance. But who knows how much that would cost. Oh, and in case you were asking yourself, 'Why were you working at the haunted house if you weren't a student?', then let me remind you. I have a wife. She was heading it up, the person in charge. Does that explain it? If not, then you're obviously not newly married such as I am.
