Sar and I went to the hospital for our scheduled ultrasound, to see our baby for the first time, and Sar had to go in by herself at first, so I wouldn't be distracting the sonographer, which is understandable. So I sit out in the waiting room for about 15-30 minutes as I await having them come let me in. Have I mentioned that I caved and let Sar know we would find out the gender for this child?
Well I finally get in the room and I see Sar lying on her back in tears. I almost start crying just seeing her so happy. Then Sar says, "Did you see?" And it's then that I take a closer look at the screen. Right then, Sarah says, "There are two." And I say "TWO? Really??" And so we spend the next 10-20 minutes looking at my twins. My twin GIRLS. This is a humongous thing, for me. To have twins AND girls.
The reason it's huge is because for the last 20+ years, my family has had nothing but boys. So I've always joked that it was the "DALE CURSE" to have boys. I seem to have broken that curse. BIG TIME.
So that's the news, I'm having twin girls. The sonographer lady said that it's still early to be completely 100% sure, but she's fairly sure that they're both girls. So I'm going to be the proud father of two girls. Email me if you want to congratulate me/Sar.
